Mahalo Turkey Trot Volunteers!

Mahalo to all volunteers who braved the windy drizzly Honolulu morning to set up for the Annual Honolulu Marathon Clinic Turkey Trot. From the 4:30am group of Girls Scouts at Triangle Park to the cheerleading gals at the finish line handing out medals and shouts of encouragement to all who finished in the park, Thank you so much for your loyal support to help make this a fun morning for many!

Honolulu Marathon Clinic volunteers graciously greeted all pre-registered runners as well as those who fell out of bed thinking “how about a run this morning before my turkey dinner”. ☺ The 7:00 start was led by the serious blur of the 10K contingent, followed by an eager group of 5K–ers . Finally a smattering of excited runner/walkers consisting of an array of pals in colorful garb and parents holding the hands of bundled tykes of all sizes and ages trailed toward their 1.8 mile course. To all Turkey Trot Entrants, we appreciate your kind and patient efforts to contribute to a Thanksgiving morning of fun for all and hope you will join us again next year…..or think about joining our group of volunteers to experience “the other side of an event”.

Aloha & Mahalo to all!
