A Suggestion from Marie
Members could do easily do this as a recovery run before coming down to Kapi`olani Park: On picnic day at 7 a.m. there is a charity 5K run in Manoa for the homeless shelter, IHS. Entry is only $15 – all proceeds go to the shelter – and it’s a great way to end the running year on a charitable note. Here’s the website for the run:
No Yips – Marathon Clinic Golf
Please let Peter know at the picnic if you have an interest. Also, please comment to the update so we can get back to you with details.
Run with the Guru
Guru Sam would like to invite runners to Sunday Joy runs starting on December 26; the usual clinic time 7:30 a.m., is when we should assemble. So, if you feel a need, or feel a void, or feel some withdrawal anxiety on Sunday morning, “run along with Sam.” Remember, the Clinic doesn’t start up again till March!
The Weekly Update will be on hiatus until March when the Clinic starts up again. As mentioned, please thank your staff leaders for helping you through a very difficult challenge. Many give up their individual goals to assist their group. A member who completed his first marathon remarked, “If I can do this, I can do anything!”
See you at the water stops,
